It seems as though Christmas comes around earlier each year, so with that being said what better time than to reveal our first glimpse of Bad Santa 2 than in August. Considering just how popular the original is, it’s quite surprising that it has taken 13 years for a sequel to arrive. Needless to say, Bad Santa 2 looks to have everything that made the original so side-achingly funny, but this time turned all the way up to 11.

Obviously, Bill Bob Thornton is back in the lead role as the booze soaked Willie Soke (no pun intended). Willie is as gruff as ever, but does seem to have turned his back on his former life of crime. That is, however, until the recently paroled Marcus (Tony Cox) arrives on the scene with plans to rob a Chicago charity, which is run by the curvaceous Diane (Christina Hendricks). Although the wheels are set in motion for what may be their greatest heist, things soon begin to spiral out of control when Willie discovers that the true brains of the operation is none other than his mother, Sunny (Kathy Bates).

Meanwhile, The Kid (played by original actor Brett Kelly) still clings onto a promise that Willie made all those years ago.

Expect Bad Santa 2 to hit Irish cinema screens on November 25 of this year. Needless to say, the below trailer is NSFW so headphones are advised!
