KnockanStockan Music & Arts Festival graces the shores of Blessington for the 10th year on Friday 22nd to 24th of July. Adding a third day to the festival this year, over 150 acts will be performing over 7 stages with special honorary guests still on the hush hush. Their launch is on June 15th in The Back Loft, D2 and I would love to know, will KnockanStockan give us any clues?

Music Director of KnockanStockan, Graham Sharpe speaks about this years KnockanStockan festival: Delighted with this one. It wasn’t easy though. A lot of amazing acts doing weird and wonderful things across the county, a lot of people really pushing the boundaries in every genre. Some of the music out there is just unreal and we’ve packed in as much as we could. Hope you all enjoy, gonna be a serious weekend!”

Just announced for the festival this year are acts such as Search Party Animal (formerly known as Bagels,) Mixtapes from the Underground, Myles Manley, Bad Bones, Not Monster, Booka Brass Bands and many many more. Gracing the stage again this year is the legendary Pretty Beast, rockers Travis Oaks who will be joined by the Eskies and The Hot Sprockets.

You are guaranteed a weekend of good times, pure talent and raw music. As usual, the event is BYOB (no glass bottles!) but this year KnockanStockan will be welcoming O’ Hara’s Brewery onboard to supply festival revellers with their jungle juice ranging from craft beers and ciders, Irish Pale Ale to the Hop Adventure Series.

Stages this year include The Burrow Stage, Faerie Field, DimeStore Circus Tent, Wishbone Stage, The Animal Barn, Caravan Extravaganza and the Riddim Shack with a collection of weird, wonderful and curious creative creatures performing and roaming around the festival as part of the performance art programme that seeks to ignite your imagination.

If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, fear not as they are still on sale. Weekend tickets cost a reasonable €115, Campervan tickets for €35 and you can nab a Sunday ticket for €50.

You can find KnockanStockan on Facebook and Twitter where you will be kept up to date with the adventure.

All I can say is roll on #KnockanStockan!
