90s dance legends Leftfield – have confirmed they will be releasing their first album since 1999. Although the album will be released under the Leftfield moniker, Paul Daley has not rejoined the group leaving Neil Barnes the sole member.

Titled Alternative Light Source, the album is due for release on June 8th. The group disbanded in 2002, three years after their most recent album Rhythm and Stealth. Since reforming in 2010, Leftfield have been regular visitors to Ireland with headline slots at Electric Picnic, Oxegen and Forbidden Fruit as well as a one-off gig at the now defunct Tripod venue in Dublin.

Best known for their pioneering 1995 album Leftism – which including guest appearances from John Lydon and Toni Halliday – they have also released new track Universal Everything. A song which picks up right where the 90s left off. You can hear it below.
