She’s back!! After teasing fans with photos and videos from an unknown video shoot recently, Jessie J released new song ‘Real Deal‘ this morning. The first since her 2014 critically acclaimed ‘Sweet Talker’ LP. Immediately from ‘Real Deal’ you can tell it’s a radical change of pace for the songstress.

The power-pop tunes, of which she’s known for, are gone like we heard on smash hit ‘Bang Bang’ and ‘Burnin’ Up’.  Instead, Ms Cornish delivers a rhythmic number with a very distinct urban/hip-hop edge. Produced by DJ Camper, and written by Jessie herself, the song is part of a new campaign with M&Ms. Is this a glimpse into future music? We’ll just have to wait and see. All we know is Jessie has been working hard writing and recording so only time will tell.

The British belter talked about her next project recently in an interview with Billboard. “With this next lot of music, I’m very much going back to my roots like on my first album, which was very honest,” Jessie revealed. “From the ages 25-30, you learn so much and grow as a person. You become who you’re going to be for a long time. I’ve also enjoyed the process of just getting back to songwriting on my own.” She also promised to drop a cohesive body of work. “It’s a piece of music as opposed to singles and album fillers.”
