Julia Michaels proves herself once again with “Uh Huh”. The 23-year-old songstress has already become known as one of this year’s break-out pop stars thanks to the massive success of her debut “Issues”, but her new single has the potential to become even bigger. Produced by Mattman & Robin, the singer/songwriter’s latest release is brighter, bolder and way more ballsy. “It’s electric how symmetric we both get when you lay beside me,” she sings over plucked guitar strings. “It’s phonetic, how our mouths grip almost too tight.” Which takes you to the incredibly catchy chorus.

“Uh-huh! I think you’re movin’ in too close,” Julia sings on the loved-up track. “But I think that it’s my body wanting it the most like uh-huh!” There’s even a little outro over chunky piano keys. It doesn’t sound like anything else on radio, which is exactly the direction she needs to be heading in in order to excel. Fair play Julia fair play!
