Marc Culley is a self taught guitar player singer/Songwriter from Peterhead in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.  He has started from the bottom and is working his way through the club and pub scene around the places he lives and is building up quite good following and a fan base. Marc is as young talented man that is paying his dues the way a pure artist do, there should be hard graph and frustration which will make or break a lesser artist but inevitably make the artist stronger and more grounded and prepare them for the top!

His is Influenced by Oasis, The Verve, Paul Weller, Miles Kane, The Kinks, The Beatles, Kasabian, The Smiths, Northern Soul, you can hear this in all the cover gigs he has done, but rather than becoming another good artist turned his hand to making his own music and performing it as a warm up artist that is moving up the billing closer and closer to the main act and this guy is not even signed to a record label and promotes himself. His contact details are on his Facebook page where you can book him yourself for any event or watch his uploaded videos.

I have watched almost all of his uploaded videos online and in every video he is the constant professional on stage and really puts the effort into his craft. When he covers another band’s song he puts his own individuality and twist on their songs so he is become an artist in his own right and not another cover clone.

Marc has caught the attention of some of the music festival promoters and is getting more and more gigs supporting bigger acts.  Mancunian Promotions put Marc on the bill supporting the Hurricane #1 and Black Sonic Revolver in April in Aberdeen and from all accounts this was a great gig, this coming July he is supporting the a great Manchester indie rock band ‘Black Grape’ on the 5th of July 2015, at the Aberdeen Beach Ballroom. Black Grape formed in 1993 by former “Happy Monday’s” members Shaun Ryder and Bez and this is a super opportunity for Marc to play on the same stage as these legends while they are on their UK 20th anniversary tour.

Marc Culley is a very good artist and who is just waiting for a record label to take him under their wing and produce the next Mod, Indie legend, check out Marc’s Facebook and Soundcloud to hear and see what I’m talking about, and yes some of his uploads are done by his friends but most are very good sound and video quality.

Keep plugging away with the small gigs and writing your own stuff, soon you will be the act people will be coming to see and they will be singing your songs to you…
