In a galaxy not so far, far away in the not too distant future, Disney have release the first concept art (see below) to coincide with the announcement that they are planning Star Wars Land. The 14 acre attraction is set to be the biggest single-themed expansion in the theme parks 60 year history.
Set for construction in Disneyland California and Walt Disney World Florida, visitors will be able to mingle with a wealth of familiar alien and droid faces in what is set to be an immersive experience which will feature the past, present and future of the Star Wars universe.
A press release from the House of Mouse stated; “Nestled between towering spires of rock, this thriving port contains a seemingly familiar architecture of markets, landing zones and buildings. Look closely and you may find hints of some of the thrilling experiences that are coming – like the Millennium Falcon peeking out of one of the cargo bays, marking the location where guests will get the opportunity to pilot the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.”
No opening date has been set in stone as of yet, so those looking for their Star Wars fix will have to wait until December 16 when Rogue One hits cinema screens nationwide.
