Acoustic instrumental rock duo Rodrigo y Gabriela have announced a one-night-only date at The Academy on Saturday 29 October.

This will be their first Dublin show since 2014 where fans can get a special up-close, first experience of their hugely anticipated new material.

2016 has been another incredible year for Rodrigo y Gabriela, as they have taken their explosive live set to twenty-five different countries, including their first ever tour of South America. They also played the Hollywood Bowl with special guests Robert Trujillo (Metallica), Marty Friedman (Megadeth) and an eighty-piece orchestra.

They also sold out two nights at the London Palladium, and played with The Stone Roses at New York’s Madison Square Garden and Marlay Park in Dublin.

Rodrigo y Gabriela will be unveiling some new tracks from their forthcoming studio album, which will be released on Rubyworks in 2017.

Friday 28th October – Sligo Live Festival
Sunday 30th October – Opera House, Cork (as part of the Cork Jazz Festival)

Tickets for The Academy cost €36.50 including booking fee and go on sale Friday 16 September at 9am via Ticketmaster.
