The second official trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has just been released ahead of the films’ greatly anticipated release this December.

If you haven’t seen it, check it out below.

It has been over four months since the initial trailer was revealed. The second bite-sized treat was unveiled at the Star Wars Celebration fan convention in Anaheim in California, which was attended by director J.J. Abrams.

The trailer was a huge hit receiving a red hot reception from fans inside the convention centre and those on social media.

Unfortunately there were no snippets of our own Skellig Michael, where back in the summer months the Star Wars team were believed to be filming there.

In the brief two minute snippet we are rewarded with a melted Darth Vader mask, Mark Hamill’s voiceover explaining the force, and a veteran Han Solo joined by Chewbacca exclaiming: “Chewie,we’re home!”. Add in stormtroopers, lightsabers and an evil Jedi and it gives a taster of what we will have to wait until Christmas to relish.
