EA has revealed the details for for Star Wars: Battlefront‘s upcoming free update. New modes will be added to the Tattooine map and new Hoth-themed outfits will be available for Han Solo and Luke Skywalker.

The additions are as follows:

  • New multiplayer modes for the Tatooine map, which has previously only been accessible in the co-op Survival mode. Now known as Raider Camp, the map will be compatible with modes such as Blast, Droid Run, Drop Zone, Hero Hunt, and Heroes vs Villains.
  • Hoth-themed costumes from The Empire Strikes Back. Luke Skywalker and Han Solo will wear the outfits whenever on the frozen plains of Hoth–Luke even wields his original blue lightsaber.
  • A space for daily challenges and community events, giving players the chance to earn credits and unlocks faster.
  • The option to create Private Matches.

It was speculated that the update would include a new Tattooine map for Survival mode but EA quashed those hopes, citing erroneous information for the confusion.

EA did however conform that a Tattooine map will release for free in March alongside an “exciting new multiplayer map on Endor that will support Walker Assault, Supremacy, and Turning Point.”

EA also added that by February, every map will support Walker Assault and Supremacy.
