Blues music is often underrated in the music scene, but here at Pure M we value great music and its worth. First up is Moses Nesh and his latest release The Lovely Ohio. Moses certainly brings the sound right back to early blues roots on this album with his sweet finger picking and real hillbilly styled vocals.
Now! Marty O’Reilly has a real gem of an album called Pray For Rain. A mixture of acoustic folk rhythms blended with good old blues. The album was recorded at The Creamery in Oakland, CA, it adds to its authenticity and sound.
The next blues artist we came across was Julie Rhodes. There is a nice soft blend of blues and gospel, folk tunes on her EP Who’s That Yonder. Check out her live tracks also, her voice is almost hypnotizing and may put you in a blues trance.
